you're welcome.
I personally don't have a problem with Tobys in their mid twenties or thirties as long as they still look young. I think that the role is a very difficult one, and the character has to make a huge ark to a very dark place by way of an extremely innocent one. I have seen younger actors play this role, and have never liked what they did, simply because they did not have the darker side of the end journey. That being said, I heard that the boy in the movie was great, but as always, a movie is quite different from the show live on stage. Also, I have played Toby before and would love to again before I too become too over the hill to do it. but then again I am almost 30, so...
I understand what you are saying. its just the first time that the references to the workhouse didn’t seem silly and I felt that it made his relationship with Mrs. L more natural.
